Sunday 7th June

Hi Everyone

I have spoken to Edd Carney who confirms that there is a match this Saturday on the Dragon Pool (the day before we are due to fish our match).

He has, therefore, moved our booking to the Damsel Pool.

There will be a rolling draw between 08:30 and 9:00 so everyone can proceed to their peg without congregating.

We will fish a five and a half hour match starting around 10:30

Hope to see you there

First Club Match (Proper)

This Sunday will be the first club match of the season at Carney’s.

We are scheduled to be on the Dragon Pool however we will request an upgrade to the Damsel Pool – so we will keep you posted.

In order to safeguard everyone’s health with social distancing, we will have to run things a little differently:-

Payments will be contactless so please bring an appropriate payment method (if you don’t have a Contactless Card or Apple/Google Pay on your phone, please make arrangements with a buddy who has).

Only two officials will conduct the weigh-in- but the weight sheet will be posted on the Club Website and Facebook for us all to see.

Prize money will also be paid electronically either by a credit towards future match fees or by bank transfer (whichever you choose).

I think we should all be well-practiced with Social Distancing by now; so we can all do what we need to do and have ourselves an enjoyable match.

Ban on Match Fishing Now Lifted

The ban on match fishing has now been lifted by the government

The first official match of our season will be at Carney’s on Sunday 7th June 2020 (The Willows is still not open)

There is however an open match arranged this Sunday at Carney’s which quite a few members will be fishing.

If you would like to book a peg for this please ring Tom on 07868 014577

Sunday 17/05/20 – Arrangements

We asked Carneys for an Upgrade to the Damsel Pool this Sunday and they have agreed, giving our club sole use. Originally there was a Saturday open match arranged for the day before on Damsel, which would have ruled this out. Although Dragon holds some bigger fish, Damsel is more heavily stocked and will also provide us with more room.

For everyone’s safety and In the interest of fairness, pegs will be drawn for you, and payments will be taken by contactless debit or credit card. (please make sure you bring an appropriate method of payment)

If you can try to arrive between 08:30 & 9:00; as soon as you have paid and received a number, you can proceed with your kit to your peg and start fishing whenever you are ready.

I hope like me you are all looking forward to a safe and enjoyable days fishing
