2018 Matches – AGM

have-your-say_-_copy

Its February, which means its RedHorses AGM time.

This will be your first opportunity to take a look at the Matches Booked for the 2018 Season, in addition to discussing proposals raised on the running of the club.

One or two changes are already proposed for this year, which will hopefully make the fishing experience even more enjoyable for us all. We welcome everyone’s input so please let us know any topics that, you would like to see discussed at the meeting.

Let us have your suggestions over the next 7 days by replying to this email or posting a comment on the website; we can then circulate copies of the Agenda and confirm the date and time of the meeting to everyone in good time.

Hope to see you all at the meeting, the new season is just round the corner.

“SPRING IS COMING”

An opportunity to join the 100 club

IMG_3924By all accounts last weeks weights on Blake Hall Capricious turned out to be more than a little dissapointing.

Catches on this Sundays venue promise something better and perhaps even an opportunity to join the illustrious 100 club.

The canal pool has been producing many weights around the 100lb mark in recent open matches and  although not massive weights by Herobrook standards; a welcome antidote in prospect for last weeks dissapointments

Hope to see you all there this Sunday

CAPRICIOUS in name & also in nature 14th July 2013

Ken Bowers "Catching Some Rays" as well some nice carp

Ken Bowers “Catching Some Rays” as well some nice carp

A baking hot day and no fish were moving about on Blake Hall’s capricious Pool . It was looking like the best result was going to be a sun tan. Locating the fish is often the secret of a good catch in testing conditions in extreme heat as well as cold. Surface cover was where the fish were to be found whether that be a patch of blanket weed or on the edge of wind driven flotsam. Picking the carp off up in the water on the edge of any surface cover helped build some decent weights. Derek Taylor’s 32lb 11oz pushed Neville Duke into second place and prevented him from picking up his “Hat trick”.  After Neville’s “back to back” wins at Carney’s and Willows. with top weight for the season, a Hat Trick of wins – would have just been  “showing off”.
