We can meet and do the draw on the car park below the canal like last time and in order to minimise peg disturbance, please do not drive onto the canal bank itself

4th April – Opening Match

The opening match of the 2021 season will take place on The Raymar at Hanchurch Fishery (ST4 8SD)

The Annual membership & Match fees for this season remain unchanged at £20 P.A. and £15 per match.

In order to maintain social distancing, we will collect fees by Contactless Card Payment. Winnings – for the time being – will continue to be paid by bank transfer, or rolled over as a credit towards future match fees if you prefer.

  • Please park in the car park below the Raymar and not next to the canal itself
  • Draw 09:00
  • All-In 10:30

It is a few years since we last held a club match on this venue, so a few members recently had a day fishing here to check it out. Happily, we can report that the small stockies we were catching back then have all increased in size to good weight builders and the F1s were responded well to expander pellet on the hook and feeding micros. It looks positive then for our match on on April 4th when I look forward to seeing you all there.

2020 Season

Twenty Four Matches have been booked for the 2020 match season with only three more slots now left to fill.

Venues Booked so far:

  • Carney’s (Dragon & Damsel Pools)

  • Curborough (Oak, Swan & Canal Pools)

  • Blakehall (Capricious, Hall & Blake Pools)

  • Heronbrook (Match, Island & Pisces Pools)

  • Izaak Walton (Canal, Top & Bottom Pools)

Now that improvements have been made at Hanchurch fishery, we plan to book some of the remaining matches on the Raymar Canal Pool.

We will continue to keep everyone updated with developments as they occur.
